Understanding Child to Parent Abuse

Domestic Abuse in the Workplace

On this course you will name and define this type of abuse. Explore the similarities and differences between domestic abuse perpetrated by a partner and child to parent abuse. We look at the contributory factors that can lead to, or increase, the challenging behaviour some children present and the challenges practitioners have in responding effectively to families.

You will also identify factors that need to be considered when completing assessments, putting safety or action plans in place, recommending interventions or referring to relevant services for on-going support.
