Impact of Abuse On Child Development

This course raises awareness of contraception sabotage, pregnancy-related abuse, and the impact of abuse on pregnant women, unborn children, and child development. It covers how perpetrators involve children in abuse, the effects on mental health, cognitive development, and coping behaviours. Participants will gain confidence in interpreting child behaviour and learn what supports robust mental health in children, with opportunities for discussion and questions.

  • The impact of abuse on the developing ‘emotional brain’ and potential long term affects
