  • Be The first entry point into appropriate safe support & signpost to specialist support
  • Be an integral part of a valuable support safety network for the person affected
  • Provide workplace adjustments to enable them to work effectively and remain in employment
  • Be able to hold employees who are perpetrators to account for their behaviour

The Domestic Abuse Workplace Support Plan includes: –

Stage 1:

A meeting to review what is currently in place with regards to domestic abuse

  • Organisation policy
  • Support options
  • Staff awareness of support available
  • Access and confidentiality of the support available
  • Legal requirements expected of employers
  • Support for Employees who have management responsibilities for employees affected by domestic abuse

Stage 2:

Develop an action plan to address gaps

 Stage 3:

Identify employees who want to become a ‘Domestic Abuse Workmate’ to support colleagues

 Stage 4:

Deliver a 4-day specialist course to create safe support in the workplace

Stage 5:

On-going support for Domestic Abuse Workmates as and when required
